Hi there,

I just installed the game 2 days ago and I am a complete noob to this game . I am a level 10 necromencer / elementist and I have no clue on what to do next in order to reach level 20 and get money. I am currently located at the Northern Wall.

ANy suggestions?

Congrats of getting GW - Hope you have tons of fun with it. For earning money & leveling up, just party up with people and start doing the missions. For each mission completed you gain 1,000 XP, along with the XP for the killing you do along the way. If you can get in a group that's doing the bonus, do it - because the bonus reward is 1,000XP as well. You'll usually find plenty of people who've been through them already, so know they'll know the way.

Getting "ran" through the missions is a BAD idea. you don't get the XP or the loot you'd get by fighting your way through. And you don't learn anything. Teaming up with a higher level player also won't help you learn anything about how best to use your skills and sharpen your abilities - get in groups with players close to your level, otherwise you won't be challenged.

Don't skip the cinematics your first time through - even if the rest of your party wants to skip it. The storyline isn't the greatest, but at least with the cinematics you'll know what's going on. Most people (not all) won't mind too much when they know it's your first time through. If they do, it's their problem.

Also don't forget to do the various quests (the things you get from the people with the green "!" above their head) as they are also a great way to get expierence and unlock skills.

welcome. read up on the guides that loviatar has linked. they will be of great help.

essentially, you are in a town with a mission. in your party window, you should notice a button that says "enter mission." this is how you know if there is a mission involved. also, if you press "m" to pull up your map, the icon of the town should be a shield. you will need to complete the mission in order to progress with the story and gain more quests and areas.
